Portsyde is a hosted personal media server. You keep your sources and services where they already are, configure them once, and every app you own connects to Portsyde as its server. Nothing to install, nothing to keep running at home.
No. Portsyde holds no media and supplies no catalog of its own. It connects the sources and services you already have to the apps you already use, and playback goes straight from the source to your device.
Yes. Portsyde is a convenience layer, not a lock-in: it is the hosting, the always-on address and the setup work, done for you. If you would rather run and maintain your own server, nothing here stops you.
Atlas, Infuse, Swiftfin, Jellyfin apps, Findroid and Streamyfin. Atlas is ours; the rest are apps you may already own. Anything Jellyfin-compatible can point at your Portsyde address.
Enter your Portsyde server address, then your username and password. That is the whole flow on a phone, tablet or computer, and it is the same in every app.
Sign-in for a TV, without typing a password on a remote. The app shows a six-digit code, you approve it from your phone or from your Portsyde dashboard, and the TV signs itself in. Quick Connect is included on every plan.

Yes. The credentials you give us for your own services are encrypted, and we never see your media: Portsyde holds none of it, and playback runs from the source to your device rather than through us.
