In advance, on the card you enter at checkout: $19.99/year or $1.99/month, whichever you pick. Billing repeats on the same date each period until you cancel. There is no trial and no lifetime plan.
Cancel any time from Billing in your dashboard. Plus keeps running until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the account then returns to Free on its own.
A first annual purchase can be refunded in full within 14 days. After that, and for monthly billing, a cancellation stops the next charge rather than refunding the current one.
